Privacy policy

CrispSum is designed to work without an account. This policy explains what the current static site does, what a hosting provider may process, and how third-party advertising technology will be handled if advertising is enabled.

Local tool data

Inventory items, checklist entries, and tracker dates are stored in your browser using local storage. They are not uploaded to a CrispSum database. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or changing devices may remove them.

When the same browser contains compatible household records from an earlier version on this domain, CrispSum copies them to its current local storage keys so the update does not hide those records. Existing current-version records take priority, and the migration does not send data off the device.

Server and hosting logs

The hosting provider may process request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps for security and delivery. CrispSum does not currently operate a separate user account database.

Advertising and third-party technologies

No advertising display or analytics script is included in the current build. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, may place and read cookies in a visitor's browser. They may also use web beacons, IP addresses, browser or device information, and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving on CrispSum.

That information may be used to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and abuse, and, where permitted by a visitor's choices, personalize advertising. Google explains the information it receives and how it uses that information on How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Advertising cookies and choices

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on a visitor's visits to CrispSum or other websites. Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Visitors may also use AboutAds choices to manage participating companies.

If vendors or ad networks beyond Google are activated, CrispSum will identify them through this policy or the consent interface and provide links to their privacy and opt-out information before their technology is used.

Consent before advertising

CrispSum will not enable advertising until an appropriate consent-management mechanism is configured. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising will use a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the applicable IAB Transparency and Consent Framework requirements.

Where consent is required, visitors must be able to accept, reject, or manage applicable choices and reopen those choices later. This policy will be updated to identify the services and processing actually enabled.

Your choices

You can delete records inside the tools or clear this site's storage through your browser. Export important records before clearing them. Browser privacy settings can also restrict cookies and site storage.

Policy changes

The date above changes only when this policy is materially revised. Changes to advertising, analytics, hosting, or contact practices will be reflected here before or when those practices begin, as applicable.
